# Flat monthly plans. No overage bills.

> geolith cloud has four plans, each a fixed number of API requests a month: Free $0 for 100,000, Starter $19 for 1,000,000, Growth $99 for 7,500,000 and Scale $299 for 25,000,000. Every request counts once, whether it is search, autocomplete, reverse, place or a map tile. Over quota, requests stop with HTTP 429 until the month ends or you upgrade, so the bill never surprises you. Results may be stored permanently on every plan.

## Questions

### What counts as a request?

Every API call to api.geolith.app counts once: /v1/search, /v1/autocomplete, /v1/search/structured, /v1/reverse, /v1/nearby, /v1/place and each vector tile. Requests rejected for a missing or invalid key do not use your quota.

### What happens when I reach my quota?

Requests stop with HTTP 429 and the error code quota_exceeded until the month ends or you upgrade. There is no overage charge. Every response carries X-Quota-Limit and X-Quota-Remaining headers so you can watch it.

### Can I store the results?

Yes, permanently, on every plan. geolith answers from OpenStreetMap and Overture Maps, and under the OSMF geocoding guideline a single result is an insubstantial extract. Google and Mapbox charge more or restrict this.

### Do I have to show attribution?

Yes, wherever you display results or maps: "© OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL), Overture Maps Foundation". A small line under the map or the search box is enough.

### Can I use the Free plan commercially?

Yes. The Free plan includes 100,000 requests a month with commercial use, as long as you show the attribution.

### How do I pay for Starter, Growth or Scale?

Card checkout is not live yet. Write to contact@geolith.app with the plan you want and we will move your account to it.

### Which areas does geolith cloud cover?

Worldwide. The hosted API answers from one planet file of 678,043,458 places built from OpenStreetMap and Overture Maps.
